I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon people watching in Llano Park and on the zocalo. People were out in great numbers enjoying the afternoon that was sometimes sunny, sometimes overcast and breezy.
Not Girl Scouts!
The Guelaguetza is coming and so are the tourists. The zocalo was bustling today with vendors and locals and a horde of tourists. It is exciting to see the city steadily filling with people while the rest of the city goes about its usual routine (napping on a park bench, reading the Bible, walking with the kids or dog, snuggling with a lover, soaking in the shade).
A pile of meat and onions.
A flower stand.
Tattoos and braids.
