Skyscraper’s Reflection in a Phone Booth

I saw this building on phone booths all over Mexico City before I saw the tower itself. The symbol did not pique my interest until I saw the real thing, all 597 feet of it.

Its forty-five stories shimmer in the late afternoon sky.

Wanting to understand more than the words at the top: Latin American Insurance, I learned that it is a feat of engineering as it is the first building of its size to be built in earthquake country.

After all of the replicas, I was impressed to see it life-size.
